Wandering through I decided that i wanted to try a new craft. I mean I do love cross stitching but I’ve always wanted to try crewel embroidery. It can be so pretty and its like painting with a needle and thread. So I bought a kit. I figured it would be a good way to learn. Its a small 5×7 pattern from Dimension called Butterfly Duo. I started it at work today while I sat and listened to people talk on the phone. I gotta say I love it.I am really looking forward to starting my own patterns and doing my own thing with it but for now, just learning the stitches and things the kit is pretty great. I think I am going to take the pattern that came with this and do it in some pretty pinks and blues and make a pillow for a friend for Christmas.

After talking with Tony the other night I have some great ideas  for some patterns that I’m going to try as well. I will have to do some trial and error to see how things turn out and I have 6 cross stitch patterns that I am going to have fun with too.  I have a feeling I am going to be completely obsessed with the needle and floss for quite some time.  I will post photos possibly tomorrow on the project that I’m on right now.

And now onto the amazingness that is Thursday night TV. First things first… there will be spoilers for Grey’s and Supernatural.  So if you don’t want to know…then you should stop reading right now.

You still here… ok. Let me start off by saying there is really only one night a week that I am a TV watcher and its Thursdays.

Greys was amazing. I mean DENNY… if they filmed an entire episode of Jeffery Dean Morgan standing around with that sexy little Denny smile .. 42 minutes of that. It would still be the best show out there. How much do I adore this man! Poor Izzie but how much do we love Callie for sticking up for her to Hahn! I mean if anyone has a reason not to stick up for Izzie, its Callie. I’m seriously not a fan of Hahn’s… or Hunt’s for that matter. Seriously the man needs to get off his high horse. I know he has been through hell and back, but the whole judgemental thing is getting really old really fast. I love that Cristina shared her story with him. And his comment about single malt scotch made me like him a little again. He is going to become the new Alex for me… I hate him then he will do something or say something so sweet or touching. The writers of this show are so amazing how they can do that. The characters are so multifaceted. They can be amazing and wonderful and stupid and arogant and everything in between. One of the reasons why I love this show so much.

Supernatural…I mean an hour of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki. Does life get any better? Tonight was a well needed bit of fluff. I mean the teddy bear doctor’s thing almost made me fall out of my chair. And when Teddy tried to end it all. It was just so much fun. I gotta give Eric Kripke credit. I was concerned when he went with the angels theme. I mean I understand that if there are demons there could be angels but I was worried that the show was going to take an overly religious tone and really I didn’t want that. But instead the angels are bad asses who aren’t about possessing “pious’ people and talk about destroying entire towns.  And the show is still as fun and scary as always. I have to say Jensen Ackles has a wonderful comedic timing that any other show he has been on up until now has seriously overlooked. The man is hilarious… I mean…. Eye of the Tiger!! Need I say more?

And it is almost 3:30 am… And I think I need some sleep…I have craft shopping and grocery shopping to do tomorrow.

I am going on Friday to pick up some 14 count aida and some patterns and probably some more floss so that I can start. I can hardly wait. I have been looking up free patterns online and found some really nice ones.

DMC has some really beautiful ones. I’ve already decided that my first one might actually be the Pink Orchid. Its a really pretty one but my only issue is I want to know what the japanese characters mean on it before I start working on it. I mean I don’t want to create a pretty little cross stitch that basically says FTW or something lovely and heartwarming like that. So I’m posting a link in here and if anyone has any idea what it says please let me know!

Now onto another topic, this one is rather close to home…. Tony and his newfound addiction to Twitter. Why? I mean really… why does anyone need to know everything you are doing at every moment. I have been mocking him steadily since I’ve found out he had created an account. Unless you are Justin Timberlake, I really don’t need to know what anyone is doing every moment of every day…. wait… does JT have a Twitter account.. that may actually convince me to join.
